Fairgrounds Recreation Center

Sports of all sorts

Fields, playgrounds, horseshoes, tennis courts and more!

There are few places in the county as all-purpose as the Fairgrounds Recreation Center. A group of moms looking for a summer playdate? Check. Company president looking for a prime team-building location? Check. Want to serve aces, drain a three, score a goal, or throw a ringer? Check, check, check, and check.

And families, don’t forget to plan your next picnic or reunion by calling us first. Your FRC has two shelters (one newly renovated) and loads of space to host all the fun you can bring. Come on out in the morning to shoot hoops, after work for a relaxing time throwing horseshoes, or to unwind with your kids at the brand new playground coming Summer 2019.

How many wheels you got?

For all you two- and three-wheel types, FRC is near two bike trails – Creekside and Little Miami Scenic Trail. If you insist on coming with four, there’s plenty of parking as well.

Fairgrounds Recreation Center is proud to be:
  • Home of the Xenia Soccer Club
  • Home of the Xenia High School and Xenia Christian School tennis teams
  • Home of the Greene County Horseshoe Club

Helping others see the vision

We’re thrilled that these improvements were made possible by a matching funds grant from GameTime Playground Systems and the Ohio Parks & Recreation Association. GCP&T Maintenance Leads attended an OPRA playground certification program and grant application training before submitting the winning grant proposal. The FRC playground will become a national demonstration site for GameTime, promoting physical activity, fitness, nature engagement and inclusion.
