You don’t have to go far to find what you need.

Find your spot. Find your peace of mind.

In today’s world, it’s too easy to fall into the “always on” routine. With screens everywhere – TVs, laptops, smart phones – we’re bombarded with information and noise. With job and family responsibilities, we can forget to take time to relax and unwind. For some of us, the only time we take to relax involves more time in front of some sort of digital screen.

Greene County Parks & Trails has a simple and refreshing alternative. Throughout the county there’s a park, reserve, or trail within walking distance or a short drive. Leave everything at home and spend some time sitting or strolling in the quiet of the woods, by a lake, or over a beautiful prairie or wetland.

You can actually find your thoughts. Or you can take a break from thinking at all. If even for half an hour, taking a break from the turbo conveyor belt of life can do wonders for your peace of mind. In solitude, or with a close friend. Turn off your phone, shut your laptop, and head out now.
