Topics include: Merlin ID for bird identification\, iNaturalist for plant and animal identification\, OuterSpatial and AllTrails for maps and hiking\, and more! \nParticipants should have a device that will allow app downloading for the full experience. \nComing in 2026:\nApril – iNaturalist Bioblitz\nMay – Merlin & OuterSpatial \nOuterSpatial\nDiscover\, explore\, and connect with nature right from your phone! Our parks are featured on OuterSpatial\, a free mobile app that helps you plan adventures\, find trails\, and learn more about the natural and cultural stories that make our parks special. Participants will be instructed on how to download the app\, how different features work\, and will use it hands on by picking a hiking trail and going on an adventure with staff on hand to help guide your use.

DESCRIPTION:Join the GCP&T Trail Sentinels for a moonlight ride along the region’s bike trails. GCP&T Trail Sentinels are an elite volunteer group who patrol the trails and coordinate several cycling events. \nNight Rides are free and leave Xenia Station at 7 PM\, finishing around 9 PM. SUMMARY:Homeschool Science Days - DISCOVERY HIKE: Habitats - No Registration
DESCRIPTION:Bring your homeschool groups outside for hands-on science designed for all ages. Two programs are designed just for homeschoolers. They are called Homeschool Science Days and Homeschool Science Days DISCOVERY HIKES. \nHomeschool Science Days DISCOVERY HIKES last 90 minutes and cover seasonal topics such as wildflowers\, habitats\, animal tracking and more.  These discovery hikes are guided and will leave promptly at 10 am.  Late guests will have to catch up.  The hikes end at 11:30 am. \nDress for the weather. This program will be entirely outdoors\, rain or shine.   There is a chance that participants may get muddy.\nAt least one adult must be present with each homeschool group.\nRegistration is no longer needed for the homeschool educational series. \nDISCOVERY HIKE: Habitats\nWhat does ectothermic mean? It’s another word for cold-blooded. Learn all about Cold-blooded Critters through hands-on activities\, crafts\, games and encounters with live Cold-Blooded Critters. Please arrive no later than 11:30 to have time to enjoy this program.

DESCRIPTION:Join the GCP&T Trail Sentinels for an early morning ride along the region’s bike trails. GCP&T Trail Sentinels are an elite volunteer group who patrol the trails and coordinate several cycling events. These rides are not for the beginner skill level and may include a short\, off-trail portion with an average of 25-35 miles at 15-17 MPH. \nRides are FREE and meet at 8:30 AM with rides starting at 9 AM\, finishing around 11 AM. \nRides will be cancelled in the event of a inclement weather. \nNo registration required. \nAll night riders must:\nBe 18 and older\nWear a helmet\nHave bike repair items
