SUMMARY:Hunt for Bigfoot: An After Dark Geocache Adventure - Registration Required
DESCRIPTION:The hunt for Bigfoot is on!  Bring your GPS\, headlamps/flashlights and sense of adventure to Caesar Ford Park to see if you can find him.  Use coordinates to find trails marked by reflective fire tacks and if you are lucky\, they will guide you to the the beast! \nPlease register each participant for a time slot and arrive no more than 10 minutes prior to your scheduled start time.  Take all the time you need to do the hunt once out on your adventure.  Staff will remain on site until 11:20 pm. \nRegister each big foot hunter that is participating\, no kids allowed for this one.  This is an 18 and up program only.  Shirts will be provided (at the end) for the big foot hunters that attend.  Sorry\, if you register and do not show\, you won’t get your shirt. \nNon-registered guests will not be able to attend.

DESCRIPTION:Did you enjoy growing up with Highlights Seek and Find puzzles? What if you and your kids could be part of a hide and seek game\, with the Russ Nature Reserve being your puzzle board? \nThat is right! Hundreds of pumpkins will be hidden along the trails at the Russ Nature Reserve and your child\, age 4-12\, will have to search and find pumpkins that match images on the cards we provide. Each child will be given a card with 10 different objects to find\, painted on the pumpkins. Once they find them\, cross them off and keep looking. When all 10 are found\, return to the tent for some fun money that is good to spend at our candy store and in our pumpkin patch (1 candy bag and pumpkin purchase per registered child). Children are encouraged to come in costume! \nThis is a FREE program\, registration is required and opens August 16th. If you register and are unable to attend\, please call so your spot does not go unused. \nThis is a drop-in program\, you can come any time between 5:30 & 7:30 p.m.

DESCRIPTION:Bring your homeschool groups outside for hands-on science designed for all ages. Two programs are designed just for homeschoolers. They are called Homeschool Science Days and Homeschool Science Days DISCOVERY HIKES. \nHomeschool Science Days are station-based with various fun\, educational activities. These are drop in programs that begin at 10 am and go to noon. Please plan to arrive no later than 11:30 in order to have time to enjoy the activities. \nDress for the weather. This program will be entirely outdoors\, rain or shine.   There is a chance that participants may get muddy. \nAt least one adult must be present with each homeschool group. \nRegistration is no longer needed for the homeschool educational series. \nNocturnal Animals\nWHoooo stays up all night and sleeps all day? Nocturnal animals\, like owls\, that’s whoooo! Bring your diurnal homeschoolers out to the park to learn about the critters that only come out at night through games\, crafts and educational activities. Arrive no later than 11:30.

DESCRIPTION:End of Season Carry-in \nJoin the GCP&T Trail Sentinels for a moonlight ride along the region’s bike trails. GCP&T Trail Sentinels are an elite volunteer group who patrol the trails and coordinate several cycling events.\nNight Rides are free and leave Xenia Station at 7 PM\, finishing around 9 PM. The average speed of the ride is 10 – 13 MPH. \nAll night riders must:\nBe 18 and older\nWear a helmet and have lights on their bikes\nHave bike repair items \n– Rides will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather. \n***And let’s be real…these rides are for ice cream 🙂

SUMMARY:Homeschool Science Days DISCOVERY HIKE: Adena and Hopewell - No Registration
DESCRIPTION:Bring your homeschool groups outside for hands-on science designed for all ages. Two programs are designed just for homeschoolers. They are called Homeschool Science Days and Homeschool Science Days DISCOVERY HIKES. \nHomeschool Science Days DISCOVERY HIKES  last 90 minutes and cover seasonal topics such as wildflowers\, habitats\, animal tracking and more.  These discovery hikes are guided and will leave promptly at 10 am.  Late guests will have to catch up.  The hikes end at 11:30 am. \nDress for the weather. This program will be entirely outdoors\, rain or shine.   There is a chance that participants may get muddy. \nAt least one adult must be present with each homeschool group. \nRegistration is no longer needed for the homeschool educational series.  \n\n\n\nDISCOVERY HIKE: Adena and Hopewell\nHike up a 30 foot Adena Mound and follow the curves of an ancient Hopewell Earthworks as you learn what archaeologists have discovered about these cultures. This hike is not stroller friendly. Starts at 10am sharp. If you’re late\, go find us. No strollers.
