DESCRIPTION:Proceeds to benefit local organizations committed to battling suicide \nOur mission is to honor the fallen\, support our veterans\, and raise awareness about the critical issue of military and veteran suicide. We carry the weight of those who have served—those lost on the battlefield\, on the streets of America\, and to their own struggles—by fostering a community of care\, compassion\, and commitment. Through education\, advocacy\, and action\, we are dedicated to providing the resources and support necessary to help prevent veteran suicide and ensure that no warrior is ever forgotten. Together\, we ruck\, we carry\, and we bear the burden\, working toward a future where our heroes find the peace\, support\, and recognition they deserve. \nFamilies are encouraged to “carry the weight” together at this FREE event.  Donations will be accepted on site and will benefit The Service Members Veterans Families (SMVF) subcommittee of the Greene County Suicide Prevention Coalition.

SUMMARY:Homeschool Science Days: Shelter Building and Honeysuckle Pull Party - No Registration
DESCRIPTION:Bring your homeschool groups outside for hands-on science designed for all ages. Two programs are designed just for homeschoolers. They are called Homeschool Science Days and Homeschool Science Days DISCOVERY HIKES. \nHomeschool Science Days are station-based with various fun\, educational activities. These are drop in programs that begin at 10 am and go to noon. Please plan to arrive no later than 11:30 in order to have time to enjoy the activities. \nDress for the weather. This program will be entirely outdoors\, rain or shine.   There is a chance that participants may get muddy. \nAt least one adult must be present with each homeschool group. \nRegistration is no longer needed for the homeschool educational series. \nShelter Building and Honeysuckle Pull Party\nBring your homeschoolers out to learn how to make a debris hut and help us with some land management at the same time. By pulling invasive honeysuckle out of the ground to cover their huts\, they will help native plants survive. Debris huts will only stay up until the program is over and then\, we will make it look like we were never there.
