DESCRIPTION:Each week\, we will get our heart rate up and get moving while enjoying the outdoors in our beautiful parks. Walks are guided and self-paced. Greene County Parks & Trails\, Fairborn Parks and Recreation and the City of Beavercreek Parks Department have teamed up to provide walks all over Greene County. \nWalks are on Thursdays\, 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. \nAll walks are rated for difficulty with a 1 being the easiest and a 3 being the most difficult. Ratings consider terrain\, elevation changes\, etc.

DESCRIPTION:Archery is an activity that has been around for centuries and has been used for various purposes\, including hunting and combat. However\, in recent years\, it has gained popularity as a recreational activity and even as a form of therapy. For military veterans\, archery can be an excellent way to promote physical and mental well-being. Whether you were a Special Operations Marine or Personnel Specialist\, you can get into the sport and reap the benefits. One of the therapeutic benefits of archery is that it can help to promote physical fitness. Shooting a bow requires some upper body strength and core stability\, which can help to improve overall fitness. Archery can provide a low-impact way to work on strength and flexibility without putting excessive stress on the body. In addition to physical benefits\, and perhaps more importantly\, archery can also promote mental wellness. Shooting a bow requires a great deal of focus and concentration\, which can help to clear the mind and reduce stress. This can be especially beneficial for veterans who may be dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or other mental health issues. Archery can provide a way to focus the mind and relax\, which can help to reduce anxiety and improve overall well-being. Come join us for a fun and exciting way to enjoy the sport by learning the basics of using a Bow and compete to see how much you learned at the end of instruction. DESCRIPTION:Join the GCP&T Trail Sentinels for a moonlight ride along the region’s bike trails. GCP&T Trail Sentinels are an elite volunteer group who patrol the trails and coordinate several cycling events.\nNight Rides are free and leave Xenia Station at 7 PM\, finishing around 9 PM. The average speed of the ride is 10 MPH. \nAll night riders must:\nBe 18 and older\nWear a helmet and have lights on their bikes\nHave bike repair items \n– Rides will be cancelled in the event of a inclement weather.

SUMMARY:The Great Pumpkin Patch
DESCRIPTION:Did you enjoy growing up with Highlights Seek and Find puzzles? What if you and your kids could be part of a hide and seek game\, with the Russ Nature Reserve being your puzzle board? \nThat is right! Hundreds of pumpkins will be hidden along the trails at the Russ Nature Reserve and your child\, age 2-9\, will have to search and find pumpkins that match images on the cards we provide. Each child will be given a card with 10 different objects to find\, painted on the pumpkins. Once they find them\, cross them off and keep looking. When all 10 are found\, return to the tent for some fun money that is good to spend at our candy store and in our pumpkin patch (1 candy bag and pumpkin purchase per registered child). Children are encouraged to come in costume! \nThis is a FREE program\, registration is required and opens August 16th. If you register and are unable to attend\, please call so your spot does not go unused. \nThis is a drop-in program\, you can come any time between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
